What a fab night of comedy at The Stand Edinburgh on Sunday 11 May in support of the Clowndoctors.
Chris Forbes hosted an amazing night of comedy by local comedians Gareth Waugh, Frankie Morton, Sophie McCabe, and MC Hammersmith.
The packed house in the iconic top comedy venue had a great night and joined in the fun. Great to welcome visitors from the USA who happened to be in town and came along for some comedy and had a great night!
Several of the Clowndoctors were in the house and received a great cheer from the audience. Co-Artistic Director Lucy McGreal welcomed everyone on behalf of Hearts & Minds in front of the iconic Stand Cowboy mural.
All the acts said they were proud to support our charity and the work the Clowndoctors do for children in hospital. Frankie Morton and Sophie McCabe explained that they had a personal connection with the Clowndoctors as both have worked with them in a professional capacity at the Sick Kids Hospital and at Oaklands School respectively. MC Hammersmith did some incredible and hilarious rapping and if you haven’t seen him before he will be at the Edinburgh Fringe so get a ticket.
Thanks to the amazing audience who not only bought tickets for the gig, but also gave generously on the night in the collection buckets. The money raised will enable the Clowndoctors to visit more children who need smiles and laughter while in hospital.
A big thank you to the team at The Stand who helped organise the event and made it happen on the night.
